NHRA OC:
HR Executive of the Year 2025

EVENT DESIGN + COLLATERAL

National Human Resources Association (NHRA) is an organization focused on providing education and development opportunities for people working in HR. The Orange County chapter puts on a yearly event celebrating the accomplishments of its members in their “HR Executives of the Year” awards.

For the 2025 event, the theme was “Champions of Change”, and they wanted all of the event collateral to reflect the incredible work the award winners were doing.

DETAILS:

Purple chrome textured ripple backgrounds reflect the central event idea that the award winners created large, positive lasting impacts in their community through seemingly small acts.

To keep all pieces cohesive, colors are kept in similar cool-toned blue and purple hues. This also allows for the metallic accents to shine more effectively.

Multiple background options provided to allow for ease of use in multiple different mediums (e.g. organic and paid social, print ads, photo booth props, event booklet, SWAG, sponsor mentions, etc.)

Metallic print production additions make all pieces feel gilded and regal, putting emphasis on the award itself and the importance of this recognition.

ALTERNATE BRANDING #1 DETAILS:

1970s aesthetic highlights the current mainstream media trend as well as honors the continued historic significance of the award.

Sunburst motifs reflect back the Southern California sunshine as well as the uplighting used in the event space.

Imagery focuses on being a “champion”, showcasing how the award winners rise up to meet challenges head on and are a light in their community.

Cooler-toned purples help bring down the “heat” from the sunburst imagery, creating a sense of balance.

A few lines are highlighted going in the opposite direction, just like the leaders receiving the awards go against the flow and create change in their work — they pave the way for others to do the same.

ALTERNATE BRANDING #2 DETAILS:

The shape of the lines creates an “O” and a “C” to coincide with the event being run by the OC chapter of the organization.
